Grow a Garden 2 complete guide: night stealing, seeds & defense
Grow a Garden 2 is the Strawberreh Squad sequel that kept the plant-and-sell loop—and added free night raids, guilds, and a fresh economy. This guide covers your first session, what changed from the original, defense, and codes.
Grow a Garden 2 vs the original
Treat GaG 2 as a new game, not a save transfer. The planting/selling fantasy is familiar; the risk loop is not.
| Feature | Original GaG | Grow a Garden 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Progress | Own economy | Fresh start — no carry-over |
| Stealing | Often paid (Robux/tokens) | Free attempts at night |
| Guilds | Not a core system | Weekly guild competitions |
| Defense | Less central | Defensive plants, props, pets |
| Rarity ladder | Original tiers | Adds higher tiers (incl. Super) |
Your first 30 minutes
- Confirm the place. Open Grow a Garden 2— avoid similarly named farms.
- Redeem codes in Settings (cog, top-left). Start with
TEAMGREENBEANfor free Green Bean seeds, plus watering-can codes if active. - Fill every plot with the cheapest fast growers (Carrot / Strawberry style crops) so empty soil is not wasting time.
- Sell early, reinvest. First Sheckles go back into more seeds—not cosmetics.
- Scout borders while crops grow so you know entry points before night.
- Before you AFK, plant longer growers and place any cheap defensive props you can afford.
Starter seed priorities
- Fast cash: low-cost, quick harvest crops to keep the sell loop spinning.
- Free code seeds: Green Beans from
TEAMGREENBEAN— plant them, do not hoard forever. - Mid reinvest: multi-harvest / medium growers once you can restock without going broke.
- Defense hybrids: later, prioritize plants that sell well and deter night raiders (e.g. defensive premium crops when the shop stocks them).
Shop stock rotates. If a high-tier seed appears and you have cash + basic defenses, buy it; if night is close and your plot is naked, buy protection first.
Night stealing & defense
Night is when GaG 2 feels different. Stealing attempts are free, so everyone is a potential raider—and a potential victim.
If you are defending
- Harvest expensive crops before you leave for night AFK.
- Place defensive plants and props on likely approach paths.
- Use guard pets when available; stay near the plot during peak night windows if you can.
If you are raiding
- Target gardens whose owners are clearly away.
- Carry stolen crops carefully—getting interrupted wastes the run.
- Do not ignore your own plot while you hunt; many players lose more than they steal.
Guilds & weekly play
Guilds add weekly harvest competitions and shared goals. Solo players can still progress, but regulars usually pull ahead with guild rewards. Join an active invite before spending Robux to create your own unless you already have a friend group.

Common mistakes

Frequently asked questions
Is Grow a Garden 2 the same as Grow a Garden?
No. Grow a Garden 2 is a separate experience (new place page). Progress, Sheckles, pets, and passes from the original do not transfer.
How does night stealing work in Grow a Garden 2?
At night, other players can attempt to steal crops for free if you leave your garden vulnerable. Defend with props, defensive plants, and pets—or steal from others when they are away.
What should I plant first in Grow a Garden 2?
Fill plots with fast, cheap crops like Carrot and Strawberry to start cash flow, redeem TEAMGREENBEAN for free Green Bean seeds, then reinvest into higher-value seeds once you can afford defenses.
Do Grow a Garden 2 codes work in the original game?
No. Redeem GaG2 codes only inside Grow a Garden 2 (Settings → code field). Original Grow a Garden has its own code list.
Should I join a guild?
Yes if you play regularly. Guilds run weekly harvest competitions and shared rewards that solo players miss. Creating a guild may cost Robux; joining via invite is often free.
How do I stop people from stealing my crops?
Stay near your plot when possible, place defensive plants/props, use guard pets when you have them, and harvest high-value crops before night if you must go AFK.
